Purpose
The Texas REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) empowers and connects REALTOR® members and affiliates of all ages. Through dynamic educational opportunities, impactful networking events, and a commitment to leadership development, YPN serves as a launchpad for future leaders within the real estate industry at the local, state, and national levels. Guided by our vision, we advance this mission through a variety of initiatives focused on education, leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
Annual Expectations
The YPN Committee meets at least twice each year, once during Winter Meeting and again at the Shaping Texas Conference. Depending on the needs of the group, additional Zoom meetings may be scheduled throughout the year to support ongoing initiatives and collaboration.
Committee members are responsible for developing and sharing innovative ideas for educational programs and YPN-related initiatives. These are presented during the mandatory in-person meetings and through virtual discussions as appropriate.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Reviewing nominations for the prestigious Texas REALTORS® to Watch award, which recognizes outstanding young professionals who exemplify excellence in real estate and leadership.
- Plan and host the annual REBar Camp, an engaging “unconference” designed to facilitate industry insights, knowledge exchange, and networking among real estate professionals from across Texas and beyond.
- Host quarterly Think Tank Series sessions, which are Zoom meetings set aside for idea generation and peer collaboration for members throughout Texas. The intent is to foster deeper conversations around emerging issues, leadership development, and forward-thinking strategies.
