I would give any agent some of the best advice I was given, which is don’t be afraid of change or you’ll never grow!”

Samantha Plomer began her career in real estate interning for an apartment locating company in college. She quickly came to realize that this industry was her calling.

“I love not doing the same thing every day and always staying on my toes,” she says, acknowledging that a desk job is not for her. “I love to be out in the field and working with people hands-on.”

Since obtaining her license in 2015, Samantha has been an active participant at her local and state associations. She has been a member of the Houston Association of REALTORS®’ Political Affairs Advisory Leadership Committee, the Katy Planning Committee, and Young Professionals Network Committee for several years. She has also been a member of her local TREPAC Advisory Group for the last two years.

At the state and national level, Samantha has participated on the Texas YPN chapter, is a Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program graduate and has earned the National Association of REALTORS® Certification of Excellence. She has been active in the Fort Bend Women’s Council, sitting as president of the council in 2019. And outside of the real estate world, she supports a variety of local charities.

One of the things Samantha says makes her stand out from other REALTORS® is her background in design. She went to school for interior design and has blended her love of decorating with her career in real estate. She works with sellers to stage their properties and helps collaborate with them on any necessary re-designs, and she works with buyers to help them turn the house they purchased into the home they dreamed of having.

“This is my favorite part about working with buyers or sellers,” she wrote. “I really strive to be full service and a one-stop shop for all my clients. I thrive in new-build situations because I understand plans and building codes.

“I love how creative I can be in this industry. I enjoy it so much that I now provide these services to other agents!”

Samantha says she has had some strong female mentors over the years who have helped guide her, grow and succeed in her career.

“You need someone to keep it 100% real with you and will also put down their phone when you talk to them,” she says. “These ladies influence me every day directly or indirectly—I stop and think about what they would do in a situation where I’m lost or confused.

“I would have never taken a leap of faith without these women.”
