Voice for Texas-TREPAC invites Texas homeowners to tell why you love your home

My Texas Home video contest offers $5,000 for grand prize winner

July 09, 2014 — Austin

Throughout July, Texas homeowners have the chance to cash in on their love for their homes. Voice for Texas-TREPAC (Texas REALTORS® Political Action Committee) has launched the My Texas Home video contest to highlight what makes Texas a truly special and unique place to call home.

Residents of the Lone Star State have the chance to win up to $5,000 by recording a short video about why they love their home in Texas and submitting the video at MyTexasHome.org. In addition to the grand prize, a second place prize of $2,000 and a third place prize of $500 will be awarded.

Voice for Texas-TREPAC Chairman Christine Seidel said, “Texans are known for taking great pride in their state. The My Texas Home video contest is a chance for Texas homeowners to share the story of their homes, their families, and their communities—and why they make Texas the best place to live. The pride is pure and the contest is simple: film, submit, and win.”

My Texas Home video submissions must showcase why participants love their home in Texas and can be driven by any number of stories on community, family, or the home’s history and uniqueness. The contest runs from July 1 through July 31.

Winners will be selected after July 31 by a combination of a panel of judges and online voting. Visit MyTexasHome.org for more information.
