About Me

Never one to back down from an adventure, Dana has traveled extensively throughout the world and loves to find creative solutions to obstacles. After working in New York State politics Dana worked for an industrial development agency combining tax incentives and creative financing for large scale development projects in the metro New York area. After several years in economic development, Dana decided to put her Master’s of Social Work to good use and served as the director of an international medical, non-profit organization. Dana lived in Dubai for ten years with her husband John, (a retired Force Reconnaissance Marine) when he received an offer he couldn’t refuse. In Dubai, Dana continued to volunteer with the same U.S. non-profit organization, rescued countless animals, and began working as a contract Special Investigator with the U.S. Department of State. Texas was at the top of their list when they decided to return to the U.S. and after scouring the Internet for countless hours they found *the* home.

Now fully immersed in her community, Dana continues to volunteer her time, fulfilled her life-long dream to rescue horses, rescued more dogs, cats, and acquired two Texas Longhorns. Dana speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
