Professional Experience
As the son of a Navy Chief Petty Officer, Andrew learned at an early age the fortitude of hard work and perseverance when he started his first job at the age of 10 as a paperboy for the Stars and Stripes newspaper. He further carried that work ethic and learned the value of customer service when he was hired on to the popular Texas grocery store chain, H.E.B., as a carryout and cashier. He held that position throughout high school and community college until he enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1999.
During his 22-year Air Force career, Andrew honed his analytical and technical skillsets as a Communication-Computer Systems Operator (AFSC 3C0X1) for 10-years and was hand selected to be 1 of 300 first Enlisted Cyber Warfare Operators (AFSC 1B4X1) in 2010. When asked what was one of his most memorable achievements during his tenure in the Air Force, he would reply his time as a High Frontier Honor Guard member honoring his fellow Airmen, past and present. Looking back, performing in the Honor Guard and paying respect to fallen Veterans was by far the highest honor he could receive.
Personal Background
Aside from being stationed overseas, Andrew is a Texas native and has spent most of his life living in Texas cities like Kingsville, Corpus Christi and San Antonio. He spent half of his Air Force career and four assignments in San Antonio, Texas. Over the years, he has been a staple to the San Antonio Community and has been heavily involved with supporting the military community. His passion for giving back has led him to supporting organizations such as the United Service Organizations (USO), the Wounded Warrior Program (WWP) and the Fischer House both here in San Antonio and the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) in Ramstein, Germany. He was awarded the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal back in 2010.
Educational Background
During his time in the Air Force, Andrew earned 3 college degrees, including a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information and Computer Science from Park University, 2 Associate Degrees in Information Technology and Cybersecurity and earned 7 IT/Cyber Certifications. During his short time as a Realtor ®, Andrew has garnered 2 Real Estate Designations—Military Relocation Professional (MRP) and the Military and Veterans Housing Certification (MVHC). In a town known as “Military City”, Andrew’s goal is to continue to support the Military and Veteran community and all present & future San Antonians find a piece of the American Dream. Andrew is also a member of the N.A.R. and SABOR, a long-time resident of San Antonio since 2002, and is familiar with the unique market dynamics of the local area and the South Texas region. Aside from his enthusiasm and passion for real estate, Andrew enjoys traveling around the global, learning new skillsets/trades and spending quality time with family and friends many of whom were initially his clients.
