Anita is a Texas Commercial Real Estate Broker focusing on medical and retail properties. She has experience in varied aspects of commercial real estate including leasing, managing, and sale/purchase of investment properties. Anita is a natural leader with 20 years experience in commercial real estate brokerage and management. Prior to joining Equity, LLC, Anita was a property manager at HCFD where she managed the operations/maintenance of 12 medical office properties in Austin, TX. Before moving to Texas, she served as Broker/President at AJ Commercial Real Estate, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN) for 15 years where she sold, leased, managed and/or consulted on over 1.5 million square feet of retail and office space. Anita started in the business working with her father in various roles, ultimately serving as an asset manager for a small portfolio of family owned commercial properties.
She was awarded CoStar Power Broker in 2013 for a Hobby Lobby deal in Maplewood, MN – representing the Landlord. She is currently an active member of Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (CTCAR), Commercial Brokers Association of Austin (CBA), CCIM Institute (current CCIM candidate) as well as the Central Texas Chapter CCIM.
Anita enjoys the outdoors, swing dancing and travel with friends and family.

As opposed to a salesperson, I view my role in commercial real estate as more of a problem solver and communicator. While my fiduciary responsibility is always with my client (Landlord, tenant, buyer/seller) I truly enjoy the transacations that come about from skillful, honest negotiations and good communication/follow through creating a win-win transaction for all parties involved.The majority of my brokerage experience has been in retail brokearage. When I moved to Texas, I found a natural transition into the healthcare brokerage arena. My diverse background allows me to analyze and see commercial real estate from various perspectives – Landlord/owner view, property management view, tenant view.
