Stephen Miller -biography

Stephen Miller served with the US Army in the early 80’s and quickly rose through the ranks and was offered an officer’s commission for his leadership skills and vision.

Stephen negotiated an early release from the Army contract to attend college and gain the required units before reaching the maximum age of 25 for officer candidate school. In order to meet this age limit, Stephen had to complete his AA in one year, for the 65 units he needed.

In college Stephen took real estate principles taught by Larry Tilley, who was a local Realtor legend. Larry immediately recommended that Stephen become a Realtor at Coldwell Banker with he as his mentor. Stephen quickly rose to the top of that office and that market. His sales career was launched.

Stephen then spent several years at Remax averaging 6-8 times more transactions per year than an average agent, then closed tremendous volume at Kaufman and Broad new homes over two years and discovered his love for new construction.

Stephen then moved south to Redondo Beach where he joined the independent, Shorewood Realtors, as a salesperson and an instructor of sales and internet marketing.

When Keller Williams came to Hermosa Beach and offered Stephen the Team Leader role in 2005 for the Beach Cities market center, he accepted. With a focus on growth and a willingness to succeed through others, Stephen helped dozens of agents realize their true potential and grew that office from about 70 agents and little production, to more than 150 associates and into profitability.

Stephen also traveled multiple times to Austin for KWRI training, and during those trips Stephen came to love Austin Texas!

Stephen managed a Realty ONE Group office in CA for a few years, recruiting, training and mentoring agents there to their highest production, and growing that office to a powerhouse operation there.

Stephen and his family relocated to Lakeway Texas, outside Austin to launch the Texas New Home Team.

Stephen has a BA from UC Santa Cruz and he is an e-Pro, eAgent, Pre-Foreclosure Specialist, and a certified Top Producer CRM instructor.

Over 30+ years, Stephen has specialized in residential listings and sales (and closed commercial properties along the way). After closing more than 1000 transactions, Stephen has learned that his true passion is helping clients and agents realize their full potential through real estate investing and flipping. Now his focus is to pay it forward by sharing his knowledge and skills with any client or agent who will listen, while helping families buy and sell homes.

His mission at eXp Realty is to teach the Agents that he knows to save Clients from the traditional thinking agent, with traditional training, and introduce them to today’s modern style of Technology-driven production.

Stephen also helps agents from all companies learn how to Retire Well using the RevShare model created by eXp Realty.

Stephen and Tina have a daughter Brooke, who is 9 years old, and Tina has a grown son Andrew, who is 20 and attending UT Dallas. Stephen and Tina love to attend Life Austin Church, spend time outside with Brooke at the park, hiking, and inside playing games and dancing. Hobbies include running, biking, singing, writing, and occasionally acting in film or TV.

For those who want to flip or invest, I offer decades of experience; I’ve remodeled multiple homes, built my own property from the ground up, and I enjoy sharing all of this with my clients who typically become long term friends.”
