Texas REALTOR®: Amy Hillock

A little over 6 years ago I passed my Real Estate exam and started this crazy journey of being a Realtor.

Since then, I have had some great years, some not so great years, a LOT of self-doubt, and some major wins. I have met a ton of new friends, been to countless networking events, and learned so much about the do’s and don’ts of the industry.

I have hung up my license at multiple brokerages, and even hung it up a few times to go back to a “real job”, but I keep coming back to real estate. I have learned how to be my own boss, learned that I am not a “behind the desk” kinda gal, and learned that if I work my business like a business there isn’t anything that can stand in my way of achieving my goals.

Two years ago I joined RE/MAX Lakefront, in Little Elm; the only full service real estate brokerage in my hometown. I rent an office and (try) to utilize it as much as possible to work my business wisely.

One year ago I set a goal to achieve “Executive Level” ($50,000 – 99,999 in Gross Commission Income). Well, I not only met that goal but surpassed it and am proud to say I have made it to the 100% Club ($100,000 – 249,999 in GCI)! That is more that I have made in any of my full time jobs, and more than I have ever made as a realtor.

About Me

I moved to Texas in 2010 and live in Little Elm with my husband, David Hillock the Mayor of Little Elm. I am a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, the Republican Women of Greater North Texas, I am the Past President of the Little Elm ISD Education Foundation Board, and was a board member of The Ryan Project. I can be found regularly volunteering my time with Operation Finally Home, North Texas Angels and helping out in my community. My passion for helping people lead me to a calling in real estate after a very successful career in Event Planning. I love finding the right home for the right family, and will work hard for your family as well.
As a real estate agent, I work with property buyers or sellers and help them navigate the complex nature of the property market. I talk with clients to find out what kind of property they want and what they are willing to sell or pay, and any specific amenities they are seeking. I work with many real estate brokers to find properties that suit my client’s needs.

I use a mix marketing plan of websites and flyers to describe properties, and work with photographers to take professional pictures of your property. I am often found working nights and weekends, showing properties to customers, setting up open houses of properties on the market, advertising homes for sale. When the sale is pending, I will work with the other party’s agent to offer and counteroffer bids on the property.

I know the markets we are in, the hot neighborhoods, the ones in flux, and the ones that are expensive or on the rise. I am able to answer your questions and concerns about things like school districts, zoning, expansion and others.
