As a real estate agent and broker I started in 1991 exclusively representing buyers. Prior to 1991 my business experience was in banking and my real estate experience was as an investor. Besides being a licensed real estate broker, I was a founding member of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA) and I served as a NAEBA director several years. During that time as a committee chairman I wrote the NAEBA Standards of Practice which is used today. I was also a founding member of the Texas Buyer Agents Association and served as Secretary/Treasurer. I have EXCLUSIVELY represented only buyers in a real estate transaction based upon my belief that if a CPA or attorney will only represent one party in a transaction to avoid conflicts of interest then real estate professionals should do the same.
