Conference FAQs


Do I have to be an association member to register?

No. Membership is not required, but non-members cannot register online. They need to complete the registration form and mail or upload the form.

Do I have to pay a fee to attend?

It depends. If you will attend only committee meetings and/or forums, you do not pay a fee. To attend the education sessions, and earn CE, you must pay a registration fee. Through August 8, the fee for access to all classes is $122; after August 8, it’s $154. Registration for classes on education day only (Sunday, September 15) is $59.

Can I change my registration?

Yes, but you cannot do so online. If you selected complimentary registration but decide to attend the education sessions, you can revise your registration by completing and uploading the registration form. Please make a note on the form that you are changing your level of registration.

Can I cancel my registration?

If you paid the registration fee and cannot attend, you must submit a written request for refund via email to Anna Toj. After August 22, a $25 cancellation fee will be assessed, and refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis after conference.

Where will conference registration be located?

It will be in the 13th Street Lobby of the Fort Worth Convention Center (across the street from the Omni Hotel), 1201 Houston St. There will be an advance-registration check-in at 2:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.11. Regular registration hours are: 

Thursday, Sept.12, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday, Sept.13, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday, Sept.14, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, Sept.15, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Can I buy special-event tickets on site?

If available, special-event tickets will be sold on site starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sept.12. Advance ticket purchases are encouraged because events do sell out. Please note: Special-event ticket prices increase after Aug. 8.

Where do I pick-up my name badge and special-event tickets?

Advance registrants can pick up their badge, program, and tickets 2:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the 13th Street Lobby at the convention center. Special-event tickets will not be sold during advance pick-up. If available, special-event tickets will be sold starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sept.12.

Texas agents and brokers attend to learn more, network, and conduct business of Texas REALTORS®.

How many people attend conference?

About 1,700 real estate professionals attend each year.

Will Wi-Fi be available?

At the convention center: Service will not be available in the meeting rooms or common areas. On Thursday, Sept.12, and Friday, Sept. 13, complimentary Wi-Fi will be available in the member lounge.

At the Omni Hotel: Wi-Fi service in the guest rooms and hotel lobby is complimentary.

How can I promote my attendance at conference on social media?

Tell people you’re going to conference by using the marketing materials on the Spread the Word: 2019 Texas REALTORS® Conference page. You’ll find images sized for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as well as a conference video and Facebook frame. Be sure to use #txrealtors when you post online, and tag @txrealtors on Instagram and Twitter and @texasrealtors on Facebook. 


Where do I stay at conference?

When you register, you can request a room at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel or the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel. You must book your reservation through Texas REALTORS® to receive the conference rate that is guaranteed until August 8 or the room block is filled, whichever occurs first.

How do I get the conference hotel rate?

To secure the conference rate, you must submit your housing request through Texas REALTORS®. Members can register and request a reservation online or via the downloadable registration form. Non-members must complete the form and mail or upload it as noted on the form.

Where do I park?

At the Omni Fort Worth Hotel self-parking is available at a city-owned garage one block north of the hotel, at 11th Street & Throckmorton. Rates are subject to change: 

0–4 hours: $12
4–12 hours: $18
12–24 hours: $22

Valet parking is also available for $22 day use and $30 overnight (rates subject to change). 

Guests of the Sheraton Hotel may park on a self-parking surface lot across the street from the hotel. Overnight valet service is also available to hotel guests.

Overnight self-parking: $16 per night    
Overnight valet parking: $20 per night

All parking charges are subject to a state sales tax of 8.25%.

Where do I park at the convention center?

Use the city-owned garage north of the Omni Fort Worth Hotel at 11th Street & Throckmorton.

How can I get around downtown Fort Worth once I’m parked?

Molly the Trolley runs between the convention center and Sundance Square, with stops near downtown hotels, landmarks, restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. The complimentary trolley runs every 10-15 minutes, seven days a week, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Look for the sign designating Molly’s stop outside the main entrance to the hotel.


When is the Board of Directors Meeting and check-in?

The meeting will be at the Omni Hotel, 1300 Houston St., on Sunday, Sept. 15. Check-in is 7:30-9 a.m., and the meeting 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Where will the Welcome Reception be held?

The Welcome Reception, hosted by the Fort Worth Association of REALTORS® and Texas REALTORS®, will be held at the convention center immediately following the opening session. All REALTORS® and conference registrants are invited to attend.

I have a ticket to the Chairman’s Installation Gala. Do I need to reserve seating?

Yes. When you claim your conference registration, you will receive a coupon that must be exchanged for an entrance ticket. The exchange desk will be located at the conference registration area and be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and again 7 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. After 12 p.m. on Friday, we cannot guarantee dinner seating. The dinner will be held at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.

What is the attire for the installation?

Gentlemen should wear black-tie or dark business suits; ladies should wear cocktail attire.


Is there a charge to attend the Trade Expo?

No, but you will need an entrance badge. Expo entrance badges are available at the registration desk and at the Expo entrance.

What’s the Treasure Hunt?

It’s similar to a scavenger hunt, and all the stops are located in the Trade Expo. Turn in your completed card to be eligible for prize drawings at the end of the Trade Expo. Pick up your official game card at registration.

Must I be present to win a prize during the expo drawings?

You must be present to win the Treasure Hunt prizes and other prizes awarded by Texas REALTORS®. Eligibility for vendor sponsored prizes is determined by the vendors, and they are responsible for shipping prizes if the recipient is not present.

How can I become a sponsor or exhibitor?

Companies interested in becoming a conference sponsor or exhibitor should call 214-291-3648. You do not have to be a sponsor to exhibit or exhibit to become a conference sponsor. Please note: Texas REALTORS® does not share or sell information about conference attendees.
