During his State of the State address on January 31, Gov. Greg Abbott encouraged the Texas Legislature to reform the property tax process currently in place to address the increasing property taxes forcing many Texans out of their homes.
Texas Association of REALTORS® Chairman Vicki Fullerton commended Gov. Abbott’s call for property tax reform in his remarks.
“The Texas Association of REALTORS® applauds Gov. Abbott’s comments in his State of the State address regarding property tax reform. Bringing more transparency and honesty to the local level when tax rates are set will enable Texans to be more informed about how their tax dollars are being spent,” Fullerton said.
