Background

Nonprofits providing housing assistance to families affected by Hurricane Harvey can now apply for grants of up to $50,000 through the Housing and Economic Assistance to Rebuild Texas (HEART) program, created by the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) and Enterprise Community Partners. The grants are backed by a gift from the Rebuild Texas Fund.

There are two categories of grants through HEART: housing repairs and programming. Organizations may apply for both categories, but awards are capped at $50,000 per group.
