For REALTORS®, those decisions can shape everything from housing affordability and private property rights to infrastructure, economic development, and the future of your neighborhoods. 

You Can’t Vote if You're Not Registered 

But having a voice in those decisions starts with one simple step: being registered to vote. 

That’s why Texas REALTORS® is proud to once again partner with National Voter Registration Day, a nonpartisan civic effort dedicated to ensuring every eligible American has the opportunity to register to vote and participate in our democracy. 

REALTORS® have a unique connection to the communities you serve. You help people put down roots, build businesses, invest in their futures, and become part of a community. Encouraging civic participation is a natural extension of that role. 

Make sure you can vote in the upcoming election by checking your voter registration status. 

Follow Up With Past Clients 

This is also an opportunity to reconnect with past clients—especially those who have recently moved. A new address is a great reason to remind clients to check or update their voter registration. It’s a useful service, an important civic reminder, and one more meaningful touchpoint with a client after the sale. 

This National Voter Registration Day, check your registration and encourage your clients, colleagues, friends, and family to do the same. Texas REALTORS® encourages you to be informed, get involved, and make your voice heard.  

It starts by getting registered. The deadline to register for the November 2026 election is Monday, October 5.
