2021 Texas REBar Camp – Ended
Texas YPN hosted the third annual Texas REBar Camp from April 27-29, 2021. The three-day event included 15 interactive sessions that gave REALTORS® in Texas and across the country the opportunity to network, share industry tips and tricks, and troubleshoot industry challenges. In traditional REBar fashion, attendees picked the topics that were discussed during REBar Camp, which ensured that this “un-conference” remained useful to, and strategized by, the REALTORS® who participated.

The 2021 Event
The event was a huge success, with even more REALTORS® registered and in attendance than in 2020. Event participants came together and shared their experiences, concerns, ideas, strategies, and predictions for the future. Some sessions were focused on uniting and identifying with industry challenges, other sessions gave participants the opportunity to ask for direct advice and guidance, and others still provided REALTORS® with a forum to share tools and trends to develop their businesses. The event closed out with a fantastic, moving closing session led by Illinois REALTOR® and DEI leader Matt Difanis, who offered some insight on the historic impact on diversity, equity, and inclusion in across the U.S., and how REALTORS® can be agents of positive change in their communities.
In all, it was another great year at Texas REBar Camp! Event organizers and Texas YPN look forward to holding the next Texas REBar Camp in 2022.
The 2020 Event
Texas REBar Camp was converted into a digital event and spread out over the span of a week in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions. The event drew more than 100 registrants from 13 states and more than 50 cities around the country. Attendees had various backgrounds, years of industry experience, and expertise. Participants discussed topics such as: “how to conduct business in a pandemic,” “tech tools and digital resources,” “building a virtual business,” and “network curation,” among others.
Texas YPN raised $1,000 in ticket sales, which was donated in full to the Texas REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Foundation, a charity that promotes and encourages workforce housing and homeownership opportunities in Texas.

What is REBar?
REBar Camp is a barcamp on Real Estate (R.E. Barcamp). The event is not structured like a typical planned conference, with speakers and pre-determined topics and sessions. Each session in a barcamp is determined by attendees, anybody can deliver a session, and attendees actively participate in the discussion.
