Businesses with verified profiles on Google will now be able to receive and reply to messages from consumers through Google Maps and Search.

For businesses that have enabled the messaging feature, consumers see a “Message” button on the business’s profile page and can start conversations from posts the business has created. The update allows business owners to reply to those messages from the Google Maps app or Search.

The messaging feature through a Google business profile providers another way for consumers to reach you when they’re taking actions such as searching for real estate services on their computer or on their phones. If you’ve enabled messaging, they may also see a prompt to send a message if they’ve initiated a phone call from a Google app and you weren’t available to answer.
