Texas REALTORS® has proposed a new form: Request Regarding Submission of Offer and Response (TXR 1951).

This form is being proposed because the National Association of REALTORS® made changes to the Code of Ethics Standard of Practice 1-7, which became effective this year. This standard now requires that if a buyer’s broker asks whether an offer was submitted, a listing broker or agent must provide an affirmative, written response, unless the seller provided a written waiver of the broker’s obligation to present certain offers. The Request Regarding Submission of Offer and Response form helps members comply with this request.

View the draft of the proposed new form, and submit your comments by July 31.
