Texas REALTORS® stands by the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and supports members in upholding the Code’s principles by providing educational resources and professional standards and arbitration services.

Code of Ethics

The REALTOR® Code of Ethics outlines your obligations to clients, colleagues, and the general public.

Professional Standards

Alleged violations of the Code of Ethics are handled by the association’s Professional Standards Department.

Designations and Certifications

You have access to convenient continuing education programs in person or online through your local association. You can earn designations and certifications only available to members, such as Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS), Texas Residential Leasing Specialist (TRLS), and Texas Residential Property Manager (TRPM). You can also apply for the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP), which teaches participants how to use their talents in their professional and personal areas of interest. 

International Cruise

Earn continuing education at sea on the Texas REALTORS® International Cruise. The cruise also gives attendees a chance to take courses toward your Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation.
