Texas REALTORS® thrives because of the work of dedicated volunteers who lead the association. However, the ability to lead is not developed overnight. Below, you will find several opportunities to hone your skills, grow your network, and build your legacy as a leader at the local, state, and national level.
Roadmap to Leadership
The Roadmap to Leader ship series includes educational and practical components meant to help Texas REALTORS® members learn how they can impact the association and real estate industry in meaningful ways. Opportunities for a member to develop the necessary skills to positively influence the association include:
- Completing the Guide to Association Involvement education series
- Applying for the Texas REALTORS® Mentor Program
- Participating in their local Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP)
- Getting involved with a Texas REALTORS® Committee
Guide to Association Involvement
The Guide to Association Involvement is a three-course series intended to give Texas REALTORS® members an in-depth view of the organization, how decisions are made, and how to get involved. We hope you learn from the resources that will be discussed, and that you take advantage of the opportunity you have been afforded to increase your participation at the state and national level.
Completion of these courses is required to apply for a Texas REALTORS® Mentor.

Texas REALTORS® Mentor/Mentee Program
The Texas REALTORS® Mentor/Mentee Program matches a member seeking future leadership involvement with a seasoned leader who has experience and expertise that is directly relevant to the interests of the applicant. Prior to applying to be a mentor or mentee, the Guide to Association Involvement courses must be completed.
We are committed to making meaningful and relevant mentor/mentee matches. Due to the limited number of mentors, it is possible that not everyone who applies will be matched with a mentor immediately. We will keep you apprised of your application status and appreciate your patience.
Deadlines for submitting your mentee application (found at the end of the Guide to Association Involvement self-paced program) will be as follows for 2023:
March 1, 2023
June 1, 2023
September 1, 2023
December 1, 2023
Once matched with your mentor, you will meet/chat/speak with them beginning on the following dates over a three-month period:
April 1, 2023
July 1, 2023
October 1, 2023
January 1, 2024
