Legislation enacted in the 86th Texas Legislature repealed Section 1101.552 of The Real Estate License Act, which requires that a broker who maintains more than one place of business must obtain a branch office license for each additional office.
Therefore, beginning September 1, TREC will no longer require branch office licenses. If you currently have branch office licenses, you do not need to renew them.
