What GADs Do
Government Affairs Directors (GADs) are the advocacy leaders for local REALTOR® associations. They track laws, regulations, and local issues that affect real estate and property rights, then work with elected officials to shape policies. GADs connect local associations with Texas REALTORS® and NAR, making sure REALTORS® have a strong voice at every level of government. They keep members informed, mobilize grassroots advocacy, support TREPAC, and build relationships that protect homeowners and the real estate industry.
Why We Meet
When Texas GADs come together, they gain more than just updates. They gain fresh ideas, encouragement, and the chance to learn from each other’s wins and challenges. These meetings create space to share strategies, spark new approaches, and find solutions that make advocacy stronger at every level. By connecting as a network, GADs build support, sharpen skills, and amplify the voice of REALTORS® across Texas.
Reimbursement
You will find the most current expense report here. GADs can submit reimbursement for January and June meetings (mileage/Vonlane/flight).
