A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. The CCIM lapel pin is earned after successfully completing a designation process that ensures CCIMs are proficient not only in theory, but also in practice. This elite corps of CCIMs includes brokers, leasing professionals, investment counselors, asset managers, appraisers, corporate real estate executives, property managers, developers, institutional investors, commercial lenders, attorneys, bankers, and other allied professionals.
The Counselors of Real Estate is the membership organization established exclusively for real estate advisors who provide intelligent, unbiased, and trusted advice for a client or employer. Founded in 1953, the organization serves 1,100 members worldwide, all who hold the CRE credential. CRE members are linked to one another by their commitment to integrity, competence, community, trust, and service. They also adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice. The purpose of the organization is to serve as an information resource and to provide its members with opportunities for professional development, knowledge sharing, and networking, all grounded in a culture of camaraderie.
The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) is an international community of real estate managers across all property types dedicated to ethical business practices and maximizing the value of investment real estate. An affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, IREM has been a trusted source for knowledge, advocacy, and networking for the real estate management community for more than 77 years. IREM is the only professional real estate management association serving both the multi-family and commercial real estate sectors, and it has 80 U.S. chapters, 13 international chapters, and several other partnerships around the globe. Worldwide membership includes nearly 18,000 individual members and more than 535 corporate members.
