There are many homebuyer-incentive programs in Texas. But not many people—Texas REALTORS® included—know about them. Until now.
Training for Texas REALTORS®
The Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) certification equips you with the knowledge to help first-time and underserved homebuyers and increase sustainable homeownership in Texas. The certification consists of 12 CE hours, including the mandatory 4-hour United Texas: Housing Initiatives that Work course. Additional course electives will vary by association. Any combination of courses can be taken to achieve the certification, as long as those courses total at least 12 hours.
TAHS elective courses include:
Help for Homebuyers (2 CE hours)
Making Texans Homeowners for life (2 CE hours)
Manufactured Housing Today (2 CE hours)
FHA Lending for Workforce Housing (4 CE hours)
Employer Assisted Housing (4 CE hours)
Use the Find-a-course tool to find Texas Affordable Housing Specialist courses. Simply select "TAHS Certification courses" under "Groups" and click search.
