One of the most attractive things about living in Texas is the abundance and variety of state parks. No matter where you live in our state, you’re likely within a reasonable driving distance of some of nature’s most beautiful wonders. But this year, because of excessive drought and resulting devastating wildfires, the number of visitors to Texas parks flagged. Now the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has been forced to ask for donations. Instead of a donation, Texas residents and visitors might want to head out and enjoy a Texas park in person.
