Real estate designations
If you’re looking for a Texas REALTOR®, you my have seen the letters GRI, CRE, or CRB after the REALTOR®’s name. Do you know what those acronyms stand for? These letters tell you that not all Texas REALTORS® are alike. Many REALTORS® specialize in a particular area and can cater to your wants or needs. To date, the National Association of REALTORS® offers 20 advanced designation and certificate programs through its nine affiliated institutes, societies, and councils. Here are some of the designation and certification programs:
- ABR, Accredited Buyer Representative
- ABRM, Accredited Buyer Representative Manager
- ALC, Accredited Land Consultant
- CCIM, Certified Commercial Investment Member
- CIPS, Certified International Property Specialist
- CPM, Certified Property Manager
- CRB, Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager

- GAA, General Accredited Appraiser
- PMN, Performance Management Network
- RCE, Realtor Association Certified Executive
